TensorFrames Primer and Autonomous Analytics with Apache Spark
January 18, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
We have ourselves two fun sessions to kick off 2017 – A Quick Primer on TensorFrames and Autonomous Analytics with Spark.
Our agenda for the event is:
• 18:00-18:30: Networking / Snacking
• 18:30-18:45: Kick off to 2017, Logistics
• 18:45-19:15: A Quick Primer on TensorFrames
• 19:15-19:45: Autonomous Analytics with Spark
• 19:45-20:30: Buffer / Closing
A Quick Primer on TensorFrames
Speaker: Denny Lee, Principal Program Manager @ Microsoft (formerly of Databricks)
This will be a quick primer on TensorFrames to help you get jump started from Apache Spark to Google TensorFlow. We will review concepts behind deep learning including feature, feature engineering, TensorFlow, and TensorFrames. While there will be slides to review the concepts, there will definitely be plenty of demos!
Autonomous Analytics with Apache Spark
Speaker: Claudiu Barbura, VP Engineering, Analytics Platform @ Ubix
Auto-Curious (“AC”) automates and scales data science and learns from with its users: data scientists, analytic experts or industry subject matter experts. “AC” automates the feature generation/selection, geo-spatial model construction/training, algorithm/hyper-parameter selection and employs a dual learning mechanism that combines a knowledge-based expert system approach with a data-driven machine learning approach.AC leverages a Big Data Analytics platform for Data and ML services (“Engine”) on both historical and streaming data through a fluent and expressive API (“DSL”), and drives mass consumption of insights by non-technical users through a Question Graph (“QG”).Live demo of an app built by AC with real world data and sharing lessons learned with the tech stack: Spark (.ml, .mllib, .sql, .streaming, pyspark), Kafka, Hdfs, C*, Elastic Search, akka, python, R.
